AV Access, a Pro-AV manufacturer, today announced that it will enrich its range of HDMI matrixes with one new model: 4KMX42-H2A. It is a brand-new 4×2 4K HDMI matrix switch with HDCP2.2 compatibility and ARC function. With its compact and handy design, the matrix switch is ideal for wide applications like home theaters, control centers, conference rooms, etc.

4×2 Matrix with up to 4K@60Hz (4:4:4)

4KMX42-H2A allows consumers to easily connect up to four HDMI devices such as blue-ray players, home theater PCs, streaming media players or gaming consoles. The four inputs then can be switched to any combination of up to two HDMI monitors, displays, projectors or TVs simultaneously. It supports video resolution up to 4K@60Hz (4:4:4) 18Gbps, delivering ultra-HD visual feast.

“Simultaneous access to multiple HDMI sources has become a prevalent need in some application scenarios, like home theater, business, entertainment and education”, said Kevin Zhang, director of AV Access’s product development, “And 4KMX42-H2A is a part of our complete product line, as we also have 4×4 matrix switch. It offers you a more economical way to stream up to four UHD video sources to two 4K TVs.”

Audio Return Channel & Audio De-Embedding

The HDMI matrix is built with a DIP switch supporting two modes for the SPDIF audio output port: ARC mode and de-embedded mode. They are designed for different application scenarios.

If users want to return audio signal from a TV to one of their AV receivers, they can switch to the ARC mode to transfer audio source from their HDTV (with ARC support, connected to the matrix’s HDMI output port 2) back to their AV receiver connected to the matrix’s SPDIF out port. In this way, they can easily enjoy a full theater experience with PCM 7.1, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD Master Audio, etc.

If users need to extract audio from one of their four video sources and play it via an AV receiver, they can switch to the de-embedded mode. In this way, the AV receiver connected to the SPDIF output port will output the digital de-embedded audio from HDMI output 2.

Various Control Options

The HDMI matrix also offers flexible control options for effortless source switching, including front panel button, IR remote and RS232 commands. With automatic or manual CEC control, users can easily turn on or off the connected display. Besides, it allows users to route their 4K video sources to 4K displays and 1080P displays simultaneously via downscaling. Mixed output resolutions offer more flexibility and save more cost.

“With ARC, audio de-embedding, rich control options, CEC, video downscaling and other functions, this 4×2 4K HDMI matrix switch is more powerful than you could imagine. It gives you an almost perfect solution with its exquisite design and reliable performance. On this year’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday, you can buy it from our official site with special discount”, concluded Kevin.
