AV Access Launches a 4K DisplayPort over HDBaseT Extender for Long-Distance KVM Extension in Industrial Applications
The 4KEX100-DP-KVM extender offers the distribution of uncompressed 4K@30Hz UHD video, audio, power, RS232 and USB 2.0 together up to 100m/330ft over a single Cat X cable. Users can effortlessly control or monitor a remote server from a harsh environment, or operate a physically inaccessible PC, server or workstation remotely.

AV Access, a leading brand in the online market of Pro AV industry, enriches its KVM extender product range with one new model – the 4KEX100-DP-KVM extender. Designed with DisplayPort 1.2 interface, it allows KVM signal to be transmitted over long distances of up to 100 meters/330 feet between the computer and the console (keyboard, mouse and monitor). It is ideal for applications where long-distance KVM extension is required, such as transportation control centers, medical facilities, industrial warehouses and extended workstations.

4K UHD with DisplayPort Interface

“More Industrial applications move toward DisplayPort interface as it offers higher image clarity and precision with up to 4K UHD resolution,” explained Kevin Zhang, director of product development, “Our brand-new DisplayPort KVM extender is another example of our proactive solution development, ensuring our customers have the cutting-edge tools they need for daily use.” The extender is composed of a transmitter (TX) and a receiver (RX). With DisplayPort 1.2 interface, the KVM extender offers the distribution of 4K@30Hz 4:4:4 UHD video up to 100m/328ft over a single Cat X cable. It streams ultra-high definition image with more vivid visual effect.

Effortless KVM Extension with Zero Delay

The brand-new extender also offers an effective way to control a remote PC with keyboard, mouse, interactive display operation and data transmission over distances up to 330ft/100m. High-speed USB 2.0 up to 480Mbps passes through over HDBaseT with zero delay. “USB transmission latency is a key factor to judge whether a KVM solution is feasible or not. Our KVM extender transmits USB signal over HDBaseT with virtually no latency, so users can operate their keyboard and mouse very smoothly”, added Kevin.

What’s more, the extender supports bi-directional stereo audio, RS232 and EDID pass through over HDBaseT. With 48V PoE integrated, only a single power adapter is required at the TX side to powers both units. Its 12V power adapter is secured with a screw-on connector to prevent the power being accidentally disconnected.

In short, the 4KEX100-DP-KVM extender offers the distribution of uncompressed 4K@30Hz UHD video, audio, power, RS232 and USB 2.0 together up to 100m/330ft over a single Cat X cable. Users can effortlessly control or monitor a remote server from a harsh environment, or operate a physically inaccessible PC, server or workstation remotely.
