TESTING METHODOLOGY:
I tested about 16 hours total over the weekend and another 12 hours total during the weekdays. Multiple versions of 1.4 thru 2.0 HDMI cables were used (Amazon and Monoprice brands).

In using this 1x4 HDMI splitter, every single piece of A/V equipment not only worked, but worked well. The signal looked clean on 4K and 1080P HDTVs, didn’t see any pixilation and didn’t notice any poor picture quality. I watched HD content on the Comcast/Xfinity Cablebox, both recorded on DVR and live shows. The picture quality seemed equally good whether a splitter was used or not. Same result watching bluray movies and streaming HD-content from YouTube, Netflix, and Crunchyroll on my custom-built HTPC (hard-wired Cat7 ethernet cable). There were absolutely no problems to report in terms of picture quality.

Although, I should mention that at one point the screen went black when I unplugged the PS3 “Fat” and connected the PS3 “Slim”. But after I turned off the A/V receiver and HDTV (just to be safe), then turned both back on about 30 seconds later, it started working again. This was the only minor issue that arose during my testing. Funny, tried to duplicate the black screen problem by unplugging the PS3 “Slim” and connecting the PS3 “Fat” again with both the TV and receiver still powered on, but it detected the device and started working right away. Go figure.

CONCLUSION:
After extensive testing, I feel that this HDMI splitter is a high-quality product. It has good weight to it, feels solidly-built, low-profile (so can be easily hidden from view), works as advertised, and I highly recommend this splitter! Also, I’ve received excellent customer service through email communication whenever I needed to contact AV Access.
