HOW HDMI EXTENDERS WORK
AV Access HDMI extender kit is composed of a transmitter and a receiver. With the help of a CATx cable or optical fiber cable, they can work together to extend an HDMI signal, along with audio, IR, power, RS232, etc.
Besides, some of our extenders can transmit HDMI signal wirelessly, with a built-in antenna each on the transmitter and the receiver. Once you connect your HDMI source and display device respectively to the transmitter/receiver end, long-distance HDMI signal transmission is finally achieved.

What's an HDMI balun?
An HDMI balun converts HDMI signals into Ethernet for a longer run.
Can I purchase the receiver/transmitter only?
No. They work in pair through direct connection and can’t be purchased seperately.
How to install an HDMI extender?
Firstly, the transmitter and receiver shall be connected directly via an Ethernet cable.
Secondly, connect your source device to the Transmitter via an HDMI cable; connect your TV or monitor to the receiver via an HDMI cable.
Lastly, power your extender with the adpater. Then it shall work fine.

What's HDBaseT?

What's HDCP?

What's 2-way PoC?
You don’t have to power both sides. Just put the adapter on either side and it will power the other side of the transmiter or receiver.
What's an HDMI extender?
An HDMI extender consists of a Transmitter(TX) and a Receiver(RX) and it converts HDMI signals into different forms for a longer run.
What's an HDMI 2.0 extender?
HDMI 2.0 specification works at the 18 Gbit/s maximum bandwidth and an HDMI 2.0 extender supports video transmission up to 4K@60hz 4:4:4.
What's RS232?
RS232 (Recommended Standard 232) is a serial communication protocal. The RS232 port on the extender can be connected to a computer or other control systems where you can send commands to the device.
What's an ARC HDMI extender?
An ARC HDMI extender supports ARC feature (audio return channel) and the audio from the receiver side can be sent back to the transmitter side.
What's S/PDIF mode?
When you switch to S/PDIF mode, audio signal
from S/PDIF IN port will pass through to S/PDIF OUT port.
What's an HDMI fiber extender?
An HDMI fiber extender converts HDMI to optical signals and enables HDMI to travel for a much longer distance. The fiber extender 4KEX300-F can run 4K & 1080P up to 300m/1000ft.
