I had an obscure intended use for this device: using it as a type of PC replacement. I've got a huge server powering 3 graphics cards in hopes of managing the heat, technical support and noise of multiple gaming PCs in a centralized location. There is an HDMI cable going from the NVIDIA GTX graphics card to the transmitter, a USB cable and the power supply. For now, there is about a 10 foot ethernet cable connecting the transmitter to the receiver. On the receiver, I have connected a Dell 27" UDH 60hz monitor, Razer Huntsman keyboard and Razer Basilisk mouse. My Bose speakers are connected to the monitor via 3.5mm jack. A VM on ESXi running Windows 10 Pro. This device works perfectly. I haven't run any "FPS" games (not my thing), but the games and movies I have played are fantastic. There is no lag that I can see and the video and audio line up on the movies. Now that I have my full use case working perfectly, I will be moving the server into a tech closet in my house and the ethernet will be (for the furthest away workstation) around 100 foot long. The other two will be around 30 feet each. If I notice any lag at 100', I will update my review. But, as of right now, I intend to purchase 2 more of these devices once we get the server moved. Update after move: There is now about 100' of ethernet between the TX and RX sides and I can't detect any lag. I had one of the adult kids install and play a game and they also noticed no lag.
