Troubleshooting FAQ
- Check if you have chosen the right HDMI input channel on your display device.
- Make sure all of your HDMI cables work normally. You can connect the source to the display device directly via one of these HDMI cables, to check if video can be shown normally on the display.
- Please ensure you connect the PC to the “HDMI In” Port and “USB Host” Port in the same group.
- Please ensure you connect your USB devices to the right two USB 2.0 ports on the front panel of the KVM switch.
- Try connecting the USB host cable to another USB port on your PC.
- Try connecting the USB devices to the PC directly without using the KVM switch. Then check if the USB connection works.
- Please ensure your keyboard is connected to the left white USB 1.1 port (with a keyboard icon below).
- Quickly press one of the four hotkeys twice (Tab/Caps Lock/Left Ctrl/Right Ctrl) on your keyboard to activate it or switch to it. The default hotkey is “Tab”. For example, if you want to use “Left Ctrl” as a hotkey, press the “Left Ctrl” key twice quickly to switch the hotkey to it, then other hotkeys will be invalid.
- Ensure you operate the hotkey in a correct way. For example, if the present default hotkey is “Tab”, you can press “Tab”+ “1”/“Tab”+“2”/“Tab”+“3”/“Tab”+“4” to switch to HDMI input 1/2/3/4 respectively. You can also press “Tab” + “→”/ “Tab”+ “←” to switch to the next or the previous input source.
- Check your USB cable connection, or try using shorter USB cables with better quality.
- Try connecting the USB devices to the PC directly without using the KVM switch. Then check if the USB connection works.
- Power on the KVM switch once again to check if it can help.
- Check your headset’s 3.5mm audio jack. It should have 3 pins instead of 4 pins to match the KVM switch’s audio port.
- Check if you have selected the headset as an audio output device on your PC.
- Check if the battery has run out of power.
- Check if the battery is installed correctly and on the right position.
- When you use the remote controller, it needs to be directly facing the receiver head of the IR extension cable, or facing the IR receiving window on the front panel of the KVM switch.

This HDMI 2.0 KVM switch with hotkey is very good quality made for a long time use. It shares one set of KVM devices for four computers. The HDMI 2.0 signal and USB signal are switched simultaneously. This 4 In 1 out switch supports standard HDMI 2.0 with HDR10 and 3D effect, high resolution up to 4K@60Hz 4:4:4, 2560×1440@144Hz and 1080p@120Hz, perfect for gaming, conference and many more. It provides 3 methods to control the devices. It supports hotkey control via keyboard, IR remote and button switch. It also supports automatic CEC function to turn on/off the display. I think that this price at the moment 109.99 is very good one. Highly recommend!
Appearance: Solidly built, this thing is pretty heavy for its size. Installation: The systems you connect to the KVM connect in the back and the mouse and keyboard connect in the front. The included USB cables were used to connect to my systems and I had existing HDMI cables (or HDMI to DVI in my case) that I used to connect the systems to the KVM. The power input is a DC adapter with a 'screw-in' type of connector to ensure the connect stays secure. You might want to cable tie the input wires together because the HDMI cables could pull out if not cable managed correctly. Thoughts: Pretty straightforward KVM. I used it to share the KVM for a Windows, Ubuntu, and Raspberry Pi system without issues. It comes with a remote control. It's solidly built and I hope that it continues to function for years to come. Please note, the photo shows a USB 3.0 cable that is marked as USB 2.0. I can assure you that the included cables are USB 2.0. Overall: Nice KVM that will allow me to stop swapping monitor, keyboard, and mouse cords from my systems when I need it. The remote is a nice touch for remote viewing of different systems for monitoring what is going on.
